All Pilots MUST adhere to MAAC Safety Code
There is a copy of the MAAC Regulations and Safety Code available upon request.
Dryden Flying Field rules
1. Pilots are required to perform a ground range check of their equipment before the first flight of the day
2. Pilots will not fly aircraft in presence of spectators until they are a qualified flyer or assisted by an experienced R/C pilot.
3. Pilots will perform initial turn after take off away from the pit, spectator and parking areas.
4. Pilots will not perform flight of any sort over the pit, spectator of parking areas.
5. Pilots will fly from pilot stations at all times.
6. Pilots will not deliberately fly an aircraft without visual contact (aircraft must be kept within the "line of site" of the pilot)
7. All R/C aircraft equipped with a "Fail Safe" function must be programmed to have throttle go to "Idle" other controls as pilot sees fit.
8. Pilots of R/C aircraft will yield right of way to full scale aircraft.
9. Pyrotechnic and explosives cannot be carried on or in R/C aircraft.
10. There can be only a maximum of 5 aircraft in the air at one time.
11. All Pilots must use frequency identification board and avoid conflicts with other pilots.
12. All Pilots must call out intentions to other pilots on flight line when performing Take Off's, Landings, taxing or "Dead Stick" landings on or off active runways.
13. All pilots must familiarize themselves to the field operations map for taxi areas and "no Run" zones.
14. All pilots are required to read and initial Annual rule page before flying.
